Friday - Prawn Saag

As we were out on a Thursday school night with a busy weekend planned, we sat in on Friday and enjoyed a prawn saag (made from scratch by Chef Jo) with a couple of glasses of red wine......very nice it was too!!! Luckily it wasn't too spicy as we were both going for a run on Saturday morning....

Friday - Visitors!!

It's always nice to have people visit, and this weekend it's lovely to have Jo's folks around until Sunday. As ever, Jo is never happier when she is cooking for other people and last night we had a really good prawn curry with rice and a naan bread (ahem). I said naan bread is the most loose sense of the word as it did quite work out as Jo planned after leaving it in the oven for a little too long!! It did make a really well spiced crisp bread!!

Later on today we are eating at the Deer Park which I am sure will be really good, but I'll be staying off the booze and eating a load of carbs as I am running the Liversedge Half Marathon tomorrow morning which I am quite looking forward too - I think I am getting to much into this running lark!

Tuesday - Leftovers...Already?!

Usually we don't get to leftovers until later in the week, so I'm clearly having a lazy Tuesday.  That's combined with the fact that I never seem to be able to make food for just 2 - there's always lots sat in the fridge or freezer, which annoys Joe after a while!  He did make it a bit more interesting by bringing me some Waitrose Indian treats to cheer things up so............. drumroll.......

Left over prawn curry with vegetables, Indian treats and poppadoms.  Get in.

Saturday - Jo's Awesome Curry & Home Made Bhaji's

Yesterday I went for another long run (13.5 miles) and afterwards my body really hurt!! if I am going to get round a marathon in less than 4 hours then I really need to man up! - hopefully next time will be a little easier.....my aches and pains (and slight cold!) put me in a bad mood but luckily Jo puts up with me! - after a couple of drinks at the pub where we decided on more wedding plans, we headed home and Jo made a seriously good prawn and chargrilled pepper curry with the best home made onion bhaji's and rice.

I am sure that she will give you the recipe if you ask nicely!
