Rock n Roll Friday - Home made pizza and salad!

I had a early finish from work and my plan was to try and run around 12miles towards home before hitting the pub. I got to 9 miles before I somehow got lost!! I found my way again and made it to a mile from home before I had to call Jo to pick me up as I had a terrible injury - a cut little toe - it was sore!!! The getting lost incident scuppered our pub plans as I got back later than expected, but I was quite pleased as the pizza that Jo had lovingly constructed went in the oven quicker!!


The base and sauce where both home made, with a topping of mozzarella, chicken, red peppers, pineapple, sweetcorn, mushrooms, chillies, jalapenos and (randomly) anchovies.....with a side salad.

Tomorrow we will be belatedly celebrating Bastille Day with day of french based foods - pictures will be on here soon!

PS - I'll call tomorrow mum!!

Thursday night in for me and out for Joe!

Joe has gone out tonight to a whisky tasting, so I'm in on my own.  In proper boy style, Joe has already let me know that he has had a KFC for supper (which he only ever has when I'm not around...)  He has sent me a picture of it and at least he had some Tropicana with it - could be worse!  I had some broccoli and tomato quiche and vegetables (rock on!).  Joe bought it from M&S this week, and it was actually pretty good.  Better effort tomorrow though I promise!

KFC.  Gutted it even gets a mention!

On my recent pork pie trip to Otley when I visited Weegmanns butchers, I also picked up some top class black pudding that we had tonight with new potatoes from Leeds market, eggs and salad....

Tuesday Night Suppers...working too late

Joe and I were both working late tonight, so made our own small suppers - mushrooms and cabbage on toast with bacon for me (an odd choice I know - I promise I'm not preggers) and a fish finger sandwich for Joe.  I stole a cheeky bite, which did not go down well with a grumpy Joe!

Sunday night - Roast Chicken & Mediterranean Veg with homemade bread

It's been a very relaxing Sunday - for once neither of us had a hangover so I was able to go for a run up Otley Chevin with Tim B whilst Jo busied herself with her favourite pastime - cleaning. She got that out the way with enough time to knock together these delights....she treats me well!!
