Monday - Jo is back in the kitchen....thank god!

If you are confused about the title, check out my effort from last night here!....yuck!

Anyway, luckily for us Jo was back in the kitchen where she knocked up a quick pepper stuffed with chorizo, prawns and rice, and a soup for lunches this week.....at the same time!! - see dinner below;

Ps. over the past day or so Jo and I have been having a crisis of confidence in the blog - do we have enough content in our blog or are people getting bored of pictures of our dinner???......answers on a postcard.

The wine - we are way down on what we bought recently!

Friday Night and I am Home Alone! (Joe)

I can't pin-point exactly when it happened, but after work I found myself saying no to a end of the week beer or two with the guys in work even though Jo is out at a work ball thing. Instead I ran home, listened to talk sport whist tidying the flat, and I am currently drinking red wine after eating a chicken hot pot of sorts - how lame am I!!! Haha....but to be honest, the idea of not waking up tomorrow with a really sore head is brilliant and I am looking forward to enjoying the weekend.....we are getting out of our comfort zone for dinner tomorrow and heading to Darvish, which is a Persian restaurant just down the road in Harehills - see review tomorrow.

Anyway, here is dinner; chicken stew from last week with a potato lid that was very tasty and I was quite pleased with really!

Ps. Don't tell Jo that I have cracked into the Christmas wine!!!...........

Tuesday - Leftovers (Jo Girl)

So I told yoiu there had been lots of late nights recently...today was another one with both of us leaving at 7.30.  To make up some lost time, we made the most of the leftover buffalo stew from the weekend, with some added spinach!  It was pretty good though - Joe makes a mean stew (even if he won't give me his recipe!)

The stew
And a bit of vin rouge - a reward for our hard work!
The finished product, with a sneaky dumpling too! Yum!

Monday - Vegetable stir fry, sweet chilli & basil sauce with a glass of red

Tomorrow we are off to sample the burger and rib delights at Cattlegrid in Leeds after receiving an invite via the power of twitter, so it was a simple and health stir fry for us with lots of good stuff in it.....we did have a glass or two of red wine, but as Jo said "it's the first day of winter!"...so here is what we had;

Stir fry

Sweet chilli & basil sauce

The wine - still some left!

Brownie points for me - the flowers I bought Jo at the weekend!
